Locked In

So, as you know, Taylor is going to preschool this year. She is in a co-op preschool (a preschool you do with other families and you each take turns teaching). Anyway, it was my turn to teach last week. Monday went pretty well so I was planning on Wednesday being the same. We started our day and things were going good. We had just had snacks and were having story time when one of the little girls let me know that she needed to use the bathroom. Being four, she could go by herself. So she goes and I continue to read. After a few minutes went by I heard her yelling " I can't get out" so I walked over to bathroom to find out that she had locked herself in. I know what your thinking, "well, just get a bobby pin and unlock it." But it wasn't that easy, it is a actual lock that you need a key for, so their is no picking it.

Anyway I keep trying to explain to this little girl how to unlock the door but she is just not getting it and finally she tells me she is to tired and just wants to take a nap. After about 45min to an hour of trying to keep her awake and playing with the door nob she gave up, stopped talking to me and went to sleep. Within this hour that she was lock in the bathroom I had called a few of the moms, the police department (I didn't get to talk to any of them), the lock smith (they said it would take about an hour before they could come),and Curtis to get some help.

To make a long story short, the fire department came... laughing, I'm sure, and broke the dumb door nob to get the little one out. So, all in all, it was a pretty productive day. I sent the kids home with blank worksheets to do at home and had to explain to the moms that their kids have been running around like wild animal planning for the majority of preschool. I'm sure they want to send their kids back next week.

I've been tagged

Here are the rules: List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 surprising facts, and then tag 5 other people. Leave a comment for the people you tag so they know they have been tagged. Here we go

3 joys:
1: My Husband and Kids
2: My Brother and Sisters
3:Knowing we only have 3 1/2 years left of Residency

3 fears:
1:Being a bad mom
2:Feet. This isn't really a fear more then a HATE! I cant stand feet they gross me out especially if they touch me. This fear or hate for feet always made it tricky being a dancer. Have you ever seen dancing feet?  They are gross and I would always have to dance barefoot. For those of you who know my family, know that they ALL like to tease, so one of the many ways they would tease  me or still tease me is by putting their feet on me. Anyway enough about feet I could go on forever.
3: SPIDERS!!! - see the previous post.

3 current obsessions/collections:
1:Finding a name for my baby boy
2:Having this baby
3:Having a clean and organized home( although you would never know these days the pregnancy is kind of in the way)

3 Surprising Facts:
1: I know Heather had said this, but I too dance at home all the time ,and both the kids love the clogging. I secretly wish I was still taking dance lessons or at least a dance teacher.
2: This may not be a surprise to anyone else but it is to me. I am only 5'and 2" I always thought I was 5' and 3" until these last couple of years, The docs keep measuring me and telling me I'm only 5'2" I guess I'm starting the shrinking process early.
3:I have only said one swear word in my whole life. I was in college and I was trying to say shoot but something else came out. Swearing has just never been in my vocabulary or a temptation.

Mindie R, Samantha, Debby, Amy, and Cassidy you have been Tagged.

Rain Rain dont go away

We have lived in Las Vegas now for about 2 1/2 months and have not had any rain. So when it rained for 10 min on Monday my kids could not stay inside they had to spend some time in that much wanted rain.

Taylor Loves the rain because then she gets to play with her umbrella.

Connor was to cool for an umbrella he preferred to get as wet as possible

This is a wet spiderman trying to scale the wall.

The rain was so nice and the temp has drop a bit it know in the high 90 to low 100

I just had to show everyone the kind of creatures we are living with. This is a HUGE spider Curtis found in the garage Monday night . After he caught it (which was a challenge because it was bigger then the bottle opening) he went out and bought a big thing of spider spray so those guys won't come into our home. Yikes!!!

A Weekend in Utah

Over Labor Day weekend we had the chance to go up to Utah and stay with my Family. Taylor and Connor have been begging ever since we have moved to go and see their cousins Harrison and Sarah . So we thought it would be a good time since this was one of the only full weekends Curtis would have of . It was fun to hang out with my brothers and sisters and have the cousins play.
Harrison is such a good cousin. Connor loves him and Harrison is so good to play with him even though they are a few year apartTaylor and Sara love each other and have lots of fun playing princesses , dancing and anything else that little girls do, But when you see those two together you cant help but laugh. Taylor is on the extreme tall side and Sara is on the extreme sort side you would never know they were only 9 mo apart.

Connor playing with the big tree in my parents yard.

Uncle Reed is the best. This is him pulling the kids on a blanket around my parents' house. The kids loved it.

Taylor is a mini Becca and loves Horses so we had to go horse back riding and of course Becca the awesome sister that she is took my kids . As Becca was taking Taylor around she said Taylor talked the whole time asking her all kinds if questions about horses, I don't know where she gets the talking thing from! Thank You Becca we love you and your Horses.

Preschool ! Yikes!

I cant believe my Tay Bug is going to preschool. She started two weeks ago and loves it.She comes every day and tells me what she did and how fun it was.Taylors first day of school. Do you like the pose? I cant get her to just stand an smile, but I guess this catches her little personality.

Connor is old enough to go to school and he said he was going to go but when we got their he couldn't do it. He wants to go so bad, but he just cant tear himself away. He said that he will go to school when he is as big as his dad. So this is his I want to go but I can't picture. And yes he is tying to be a action hero
